DreamScope Theatre presents a compilation of three short plays in Hindi, filled with satire, family humor and an essence of the yesteryears under its production, “Ek Ka Teen”. Theatre as a medium of entertainment and communication has changed manifold. The framework of productions have moved towards providing entertainment in forms of stand up comedy, divised performances and improvised theatre. The technical aspects of theatre have also changed. Stage has become minimalistic and lights and sound have taken major prominence in the way a production is presented in front of the audience. DreamScope Theatre is moving away from new – age theatre to bring to Bangalore audiences, three plays from differents eras of Hindi theatre. The short plays will bring to stage the format of stage productions in the 1950’s, 1960’s and the modern era.
“Charon Taraf” is a light comedy written by Prakash Pandit in the 1950’s and concentrates on an age old Indian traditional thought, “atithi devo bhava”, or…

DreamScope Studio Rehearsal

For everyone who missed this years production of our play The Forest, here is a special treat ...

DreamScope Theatre Presents a review of the rehearsals of the play THE FOREST, directed by Tushar Patil.

This is an educational video made with the intent of providing parents a window into our classes. It is a culmination of our first scholars batch and a combined audition tape for all the actors and director involved.

Most importantly, it is a gift from me to the director and actors who have worked for 6 months on the performance; so they can always remember and keep this wonderful experience with them forever. I hope that it encourages them to do more good work and excel in their fields.

The play is adapted from a novel written by Puja Goyal, 15 years ago. Camera and Editing done by Puja as well.

An Honest Look at Reality

Review published in Deccan Herald on 5th February, 2014

Theatre enthusiasts, both children and grown-ups, were in for a treat when the play, ‘The Forest’, was staged recently at Nayana Rangamandira.

The play, originally written as a book by Puja Goyal 15 years ago, was adapted into a theatre piece two years ago.

While the format of the previous edition of the play followed the ‘story-telling style’, this edition included new action sequences, dances and fantasy characters.
“This time we explored acrobatics with children and contemporary dancing. But honestly, in some ways, it w…
